I am with HarperCollins now and thrilled to announce they will be publishing the sequel to Still Life, to be called "An Inconvenient Elephant". The paperback for Still Life is coming out early this summer, with a gorgeous new cover.

Still Life With Elephant has been released in Germany on July 10, 2008 under the title "Fruhstuck Mit Elefant" and has been selected as a promotional item by Dunkin' Donuts! I am delighted to be selected by a company that makes one of my favorite foods.

I'm going to be on the radio. Satellite XM channel 155. Fiction Nation with Kim Alexander. Sat. Jan.5 at 6 p.m., Sun. Jan. 6 at 10 a.m., Mon. Jan. 7 at 3 a.m. and finally, Thurs.Jan. 10 at 3 p.m. All EST. I'll be reading from Still Life and talking about elephants.

Equine Affaire in Springfield, Mass. was great fun, it's always great to be with horse people. Hope you all had wonderful Chanukah and Christmas holidays and a new year ahead filled with good health and love and family and friends and animals.
In the meantime, you can catch up with my horsey and other adventures on my blog.

And I've been busy at work writing another book. Will tell you all about it after I finish the first draft.

I have become a foster mom for three baby elephants, which means that I donate money to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya, and it goes toward their care. They are the most precious creatures!

I was also lucky and honored to be able to have my picture taken with the magnificent Fritha, a 35 year old Asian elephant who had been rescued many years ago. She ate about a dozen ears of corn and a big bag of apples to keep her happy during the photo shoot. It was the biggest thrill in the world. She and I will be on the inside back cover of my book.

Horseplay came out in paperback
August 2, 2005.

Horseplay was Barnes & Noble's pick of the week when it was first published in hardcover.It was also picked up by five bookclubs. The paperback was a Border's feature, Target's Breakout Book for fall of 2005, and was featured by Kroger's for the summer of 2006. Thank you all!
